My picking of Chess puzzles - solutions

Hi there !

Here are the solutions to the 5 positions taken from Chess Trainer in last week's post

test 1

1. Rb2+ !! Kc5 2. Rc2+ Kd4 3. Rd2+ Ke3 4. Rd3+ !! and if black takes, ...Kxd3 Stalemate

test 2:

1. Re1 Ncd5 2. Qe4#

test 3:

1. Qd5+ Kf8 2. Ne6+ Ke8 3. Nxd8 

test 4:

1. Rc8+ Rxc8 2. b7+ Kb8 3. Kb6 Rc6+ 4. Kxd6 d2 5. Kb6 d1=Q 6. a7#



test 5:

1... Ke5 ! and White has to protect f6 with 2. Kg7. Now 2... Ke6 forces the white King away and wins the pawn. This one is a classic you must know !
